VIT University has invited applications for the Post of Junior Research Fellow for the Department of Biotechnology Funded Project “Overexpression of exogenous and endogenous Phytoene synthase (PSY) gene in Dunaliella salina for the enhanced production of carotenoids”, in the School of Bio Sciences and Technology (SBST). 

Job Title: VIT University – Junior Research Fellow

Job Location: Tamil Nadu, India

Education Qualification: Candidates with First class M.Tech in Biotechnology / M.Sc. in Biotechnology / Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Science

Desirable: Candidates with experience in molecular biology, algal culture will be preferred

Stipend: 

  • M.Tech and M.Sc. with NET or GATE: Rs.25,000/- per month for initial two years, Rs.28,000/- per month for third year
  •  M.Sc. without NET or GATE: fellowship as per institute norms
