Job Title: Research Scientist Engineer
Job Location: South Lake Union
- Bachelors degree in a biological science and three to five years of research experience.
- A minimum of three years research experience in a BSL2 laboratory
- A willingness to interact with investigators who utilize the hESC Core is essential
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Desirable Experience: Experience with FLOW cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and an understanding of embryology/early development
Job Responsibilities: The person in this position will perform gene editing services and investigate the definition of pluripotency. They will perform tissue culture of pluripotent stem cells and differentiated counterparts, which involves growing up cells for analysis, isolating cellular derivatives, cryopreservation of cell stocks, and testing reagents on cells. Research responsibilities will also include assisting investigators with their pilot projects, assisting with core studies of hESC self-renewal, ordering supplies, recordkeeping, investigator training, and a modest amount of mouse handling.
