Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) – School of Mathematical Sciences has announced notification for the post of Postdoctoral Research Assistant. The post-holder will work under the supervision of Oscar Bandtlow and Wolfram Just on an EPSRC-funded project entitled ”Transfer operator methods for modelling high-frequency wave fields – advancements through modern functional and numerical analysis”. This is a project involving dynamical systems and ergodic theory, with particular emphasis on spectral properties of transfer operators.

Job Responsibilities: The post-holder will conduct research in ergodic theory and dynamical systems pursuant to the aims and objectives of the research project under supervision of Oscar Bandtlow and Wolfram Just. Working as part of the research team, the post-holder will be mutually supportive and will cover duties as necessary during colleagues’ absences and at times of additional pressure, as well as contributing to applying for potential projects and grants.
