Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) is an autonomous institute of higher education for research and education in life sciences in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It was established by the Government of Odisha in 1989. Its administrative control was taken over by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India in August 2002 and declared a National Centre for excellence in 2003. In 2002, it was taken over by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. The Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee dedicated the institute to the nation in July 2003.
Institute of Life Sciences has invited applications from Indian Nationals for the recruitment of Research Associate-Molecular Virology.
Job Title: Research Associate-Molecular Virology
Job Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha
Educational Qualification: Ph. D. in Biotechnology / Life Sciences or allied subjects.
Eligibility: The ideal candidate has to be competent in Viral infection, animal handling, cell culture, Flow Cytometric Analysis, Viral plaque assay, RT – PCR etc. A decent publication record from Ph.D. work is also expected. Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for viva voce may also apply. For such candidates, fellowship amount will be that of an SRF until he/she defends Ph.D. thesis.
Salary: Rs. 36000/- per month + @20%HRA
