IIT Roorkee Jobs – Post-Doctoral Fellowship, India
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, formerly University of Roorkee and Thomason College of Civil Engineering, is a public engineering university located in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. Established in 1847 in British India by the then lieutenant governor, Sir James Thomason, it was given university status in 1949 and was converted into an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in 2001, thus becoming the seventh IIT to be declared. IIT Roorkee has 21 academic departments covering Engineering, Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management programs with a strong emphasis on scientific and technological education and research.
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has invited applications for the recruitment of Post doctoral Fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. K. R. Justin Thomas (Associate Professor in Department of Chemistry), focused on ‘Design and Synthesis of Deep-BIue Emitting Triplet Harvesting TADF/HLCT Chromophores for OLED’.
Job Title: Postdoctoral fellowship
Job Location: Roorkee
Educational Qualification: Ph.D in Organic Chemistry or material science or related field.
Significant experience and interest in hands-on device fabrication and materials processing is desirable. In addition “computational modelling skills are desired but not required. He/she should have a minimum of three publications with impact factor of 2.0 or more.
Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will furnish the proof of award of Ph.D at the time of interview.
Candidates with Physical-Organic (or) Bio-Organic (or) Organic Materials background is not suitable for the position.
First year: Rs. 50,000/- per month.
Second year: Rs. 55,000/- per month
