Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture (CIBA) is one of the research institutes under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi to serve as the nodal agency for catering to the needs of the brackishwater aquaculture research in India. The institute is headquartered at Santhome High Road, Raja Annamalai Puram, Chennai with a research centre at Kakdwip in West Bengal and an experimental field station at Muttukadu, roughly 30 km to the south of Chennai. ICAR – CIBA has invited applications for the recruitment of Sr. Research Fellow on temporary basis under the DBT funded project on “Healthy shrimp and GIFT Tilapia production through bio-floc based farming system: Development of technology and standard operating procedure”

Job Title: Sr. Research Fellow

Job Location: Chennai, India

Educational Qualification: Post graduate degree in any area of Life Sciences with specialization in Aquaculture / Biotechnology / Microbiology/ Molecular Biology / Nanotechnology with NET qualification and two years of research experience


Post graduate degree in professional courses with specialization in Aquaculture / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Molecular Biology / Nano technology with two years of research experience

Years of Experience: 2 years

Desirable: Working knowledge on microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, immunology as evident through dissertation/project work/research publication.

Salary: Rs.25,000/- p.m. + HRA as applicablePeerscientist

Age Limit: 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women
